Okay,so I LOVE your blog,(which you've probably figured out by now)but I have to disagree with you in saying that hipsters don't show school spirit. My sister goes to a private liberal arts university and almost everyone there is hipster. But legitimate hipster,not nutella/tribal print and that bullshit. They all love their bohemian lives, including their school, so they show a lot of school spirit. BUT it's also a little different because it's a private liberal arts university,not Princeton lol
See, I think Hipsters have school spirit, it just depends on where it is they go to school, much like the description you give here.
I think Alice was trying to convey that they don’t show school spirit for major schools that express really mainstream ideals (i.e. Princeton in your example)

I just have something to say, out of my personal opinion. I don't like how you decide to label things as hipster and non-hipster.. do you honestly think you know the difference, you took a definition from urbandictionary.. yet, when i read the definition of a 'hipster' the definition is "someone who follows the latest fashions and trends".You shouldn't be defining what a hipster is.. i don't like when i come on to the one place i can express myself and i see people getting hated on it's mean.

There are two definitions of hipster:
hipster: To keep up with latest fashion trends
and then
Hipster (With a capital fucking H): A non-mainstream subculture usually with people in their 20’s and 30’s who enjoy discussing politics, underground mediums of art, and supporting small businesses, etc.
There is a difference.
Most people who consider the latter (the subculture) get it confused with the Former (Fashion trends) and then think that the Subculture is about posting pictures in instagram and throwing Galaxy GIF’s onto will make them “Indie” or “Hipster” but subdivision. It’s the misconception we’re trying to correct.
